Aloha Everyone - I was glad to start out reading the Preface because it really identifies the Rainbow Bridge as having many definitions, interpretations that are subjective, objective and both. The history of study groups that put the methods into practice and often under the assist of already trained and practicing meditators was instructive, especially since 4 primary references are given: 1) Dwal Khum, 2) Arcane School, 3) A Treatise on Cosmic Fire by AAB, and 4) The Secret Doctrine by HPB. I was surprised to read the recommendation that if one is discouraged about level of understanding the conceptual ideas, "proceed to the chapters dealing with techniques, as the preceding chapters need not be understood fully .... for the techniques to be effective." This seems to place study and development of knowledge as one part of study, and the need to learn and understand the techniques as another component. And finally, recognize that one can choose to practice the methods/techniques and bring about effective changes. This might imply that these are robust techniques. This kind of clarity in approaching the study of the RB helps me to feel that a balanced approach sets a foundation for safe experience while learning about the Consciousness Thread. Kind Regards, David K
